About
Born in Sockholm, Sweden, Charlotte Bialas’s passion for fabrics and rare prints, inspired her to venture into the world of fashion. After receiving a thorough training in pattern making and draping, Charlotte moved to Paris in the early 1980’s, where she worked as a photo stylist for different fashion magazines. In 1985, she launched her first ready-to-wear collection translating her taste for premium quality and craftmanship. In 1992, while continuing designing, Charlotte got involved with a new passion. Drawing inspiration from her experience in dressmaking, she started making sculptures based on the relationship between body and fabric, allowing her to explore three dimensional forms. These sculptures where exhibited in various museums world wide. Continuing experimenting with this new artistic expression and a result of her passion for rare fabrics, Charlotte launched her second label, and opened a flagship store in the legendary Parisian area of St Germain, 67 Rue Madame, in 2017.
